Hi, my name's Laney...

Well, today was the day of the mass job application process. Aaron and I went and I revamped my resume and then we went to the mall and handed out resumes like mad people, well I did, Aaron was a little stuck in his ways and unwilling to venture into the world of womans undergarments and childrens clothing. The name of Laney is now plastered in minds all over the Cambridge Center, but that wasnt the exciting part of the job search today.
Yesterday I applied to the African Lion Safari (what what!) to be an elephant groomer, yes, an actual honest to goodness job! And I thought that an elephant groomer was the coolest job ever heard of, seriously, how awesome would it be to go back to school and when people asked me what I did all summer I'd say "Oh, I groomed elephants every day"! But honestly, do I want to be an elephant groomer.. no, because they're near monkeys and they are big and gross and smelly. Im content with just petting dogs and cats and maybe the occasional cow or horse, nothing too exotic.
So I was trying to think of what would be the next best job for me now that my elephant grooming career was over. So I took out a few more resumes to some cafes downtown, in hopes of living in my dream world of coffee, tea, and multiple other hot beverages! But everything was the same "Hi, my names Laney Eisan and I was wondering if you were hiring for the summer?" "No, ok, well would it be alright if you kept my resume on file for future reference?" "Great, thanks, have a good day". Then I went up to Starbucks, love of my life, and went in there to see what would happen. I gave my application and resume to the girl working, who then was like, hey, hold up a minute, let me get the manager to talk to you! So out he came, and we chatted for awhile, turns out he went to Emmanuel and knows people who go to or went to Redeemer. And we joked about being club sports "rivals" since EBC was so good! Anyway, after a quick chat, he looked over my application, and seemed pretty interested, so now I have an interview tomorrow night at 8:00!! Man, I hope it goes well, this job would be killer, any hours from 5:45 am to 11:00 pm, with possibly no weekends!! A free pound of coffee a week, a great atmosphere to work in, awesome people to work with! Oh I hope it works out! It would be awesome to have something finally work out for this summer, so please pray that things go well!
